Entry is free to local competitors and organizer award cash prizes to the leading local runners. Also cover their travel to and from the event in Paro, provide them with a post-event meal, as well as the event merchandise. The entry fees from the international runners are used to fund the cost of the local field.
In previous years event organizer has left the tipping of guides and support staff to the discretion of the individual clients. It can be difficult for clients to work out the suitable amount to tip, so to make life easier we have included tips in the above package prices, which will be distributed to the guides, drivers, and on the trek, cooks, horseman and helpers at each sector of the tour.
Important information
Return flights to Paro from Delhi are included in the standard package prices.
Indian nationals do not require a visa to visit Bhutan although they do need an entry permit, which we will arrange
Our prices are based on standard class hotels, these are of 3 to 4-star standard and typically have rooms of a good size with ensuite bathrooms, cable TV and toiletries. The standard of hotels in Bhutan is much higher than comparable countries in the region and our clients are generally surprised by the quality and the level of service.
